The internationally famous Manx artist Bryan Kneale has generously given permission for a special limited edition of up to 100 sculptures to be offered for sale by Manx National Heritage.  Profit from the sale of “The Legs of Man” will be used to enhance and develop the Isle of Man’s national art collection at the Manx Museum.

Bryan Kneale (b.1930) has enjoyed a long and successful career in art, originally studying at the Douglas School of Art in 1947 before continuing his studies at the royal Academy Schools, London.  He has exhibited widely and has work in collections as far afield as New Zealand, Australia and the Museum of Modern Art, New York.  Bryan Kneale was both Professor of Drawing (1990-94) and Professor of Sculpture at the Royal Academy Schools (1980-87).  He was elected Royal Academician in 1974 and is a Trustee of the Royal Academy of Arts and a Senior Fellow of the Royal College of Art and still lives and works in London.
